Happy New Year:

    Our good and valued friend, Constitutional scholar and former 
Libertarian Party presidential candidate MICHAEL BADNARIK suffered a 
serious heart attack in the closing days of December and has been at 
Gunderson Lutheran Hospital CCU in Lacrosse, Wisconsin since then. We 
have now heard from him that he is feeling better and hopes to get out 
of durance vile late this week.

    Michael can't receive telephone messages, e-mail. Tweets, and so 
forth directly (how this could possibly be good therapy for any 
libertarian is a question that we'll leave to the hospital), so please

    Many thanks to Kathryn Graham, Scott Bieser, Dick Boddie, and others 
for keeping us posted. Michael is absolutely one of a kind and in these 
terrible times we need him very badly.
